Beach Basics!

So summer is just around the corner (for me) although in other countries I know people are already going to beach! This makes me extremely jealous but what can I do, unfortunately I can’t change the weather!  With my little ramble being said,  I’m going to show you guys a few of my beach essentials!

An adorable bathing suit!

This is something pretty obvious but I cannot stress how important it is to find a bathing suit that you feel comfortable in! Even if it is a bit out of your price range, I strongly suggest you spend a bit more if it means you will feel confident in it! Everyone has their own personal body issues ( for me it’s my small chest) but don’t worry because I have you covered. For a small chest click here, big chest here,  for tummy issues here, if you  have no curves here, and for affordable bathing suit sites here!

Sunglasses

I love sunglasses so much that last year I had a white line on my nose from where my sunglasses were because I tanned everywhere except there! Although, this year someone brought to my attention that if you don’t buy good quality sunglasses, the lenses may actually be ruining your vision! So unfortunately, I think that most of those cute sunglasses from stores like Forever 21 or H and M aren’t the best for all day wear.

Cute Coverups

I love coverups even more than bathing suits, this is because with coverups you can highlight your best features and hide your worst! Here are a few of my favorite coverups!

Sunscreen!

Last year I really wanted to tan so I put on almost no sunscreen while I was on vacation in Mexico. I know, I’m an idiot! I never really understood how strong the U.V rays really are until I returned home with a bunch of brown spots on my legs. To this day I m still not certain what they were but I think that they were sun spots. Most have disappeared (there are still a few left) but it has taught me a lesson that I will never forget!

Black Leather Jacket OOTD

Hey guys! Today it was a pretty chilly day but I was sick of wearing my thick winter jackets so I was determined to find a way to wear my leather jacket and still be warm! To do this I paired a silky tank top with a really warm black cardigan and then put my leather jacket on top! This kept me pretty warm the entire time I was outside, so from now on I will always be wearing cardigans underneath my leather jacket! What I love about pairing cardigans with a leather jacket is how my arms and hands will be extra warm. In the pictures below, the only place you can see the cardigan is where my hands are but that extra piece of fabric really helped keep my hands warm without wearing gloves. More outfit details are below, Enjoy!

Spring Must-Haves

Hey guys! Today I have a post about Spring Must- Haves that I selected from the website, Spring. Spring is a website that sells all sorts of clothes for all genders, they are not their own brand but instead they sell a bunch of different brands. When you look below, I’m sure you will come across some brands you already know and love!

Marigot: Lurin Short Pajama set

I thought this pajama was really cute! The reason I think it’s a spring must-have is because the top is long-sleeved and the bottoms are shorts. Since Spring weather is kinda bipolar I like to be prepared for everything so this pajama set is great for the warmer and colder spring days!

Urban Outfitters: Without Walls Crisscross legging

Cut-outs are a big thing once again this season. These leggings are so adorbale but they are also really great for working out! Because of the cutouts on the side, your legs will be able to breathe easily yet you will also be covered where most of your insecurities might be!

DSTLD: Ripped High Waisted Skinny Jeans

I’ve been telling myself to but a pair of high waisted skinny jeans for over a year now! They are expensive but jeans are honestly the best clothing investment because you can wear them year round! The reason I like high waisted jeans is because you can wear really cute crop tops without actually showing too much (or any) skin.

Celine High Neck in White Perforated Perfection (1 piece)

I might be getting ahead of myself as it is snowing here right win but I really love this bikini so I had to include it! Let me just say that it is amazing for those in the itty bitty titty community ūüôā

Track Pant Silky Blue Black

I often find Spring to be too cold for shorts so when I don’t want to wear jeans I opt for these types of pants. They are loose and are as comfortable as sweatpants except they look way nicer and can be made to look extremely chic with the right top and accessories. Because they are loose and usually made out of a thinner fabric, they will allow air circulation and will let your legs feel¬† warm but not too warm.

WOMEN’S PADDED TUBE KNIT VARSITY JACKET

I have seen this jacket everywhere! It’s a great transitional jacket that would go great with the pants above (and almost anything else)!

Urban Outfitters: Ecote Cooper Off-The-Shoulder Top

Off the shoulder tops are really trending now and I’m not surprised! They look a bit elegant and laid back at the same time. They are also a great way to expose skin without being too revealing or if crop tops aren’t your thing.

DIY Face Mask

Hey guys! Today I have a recipe for a DIY acne face mask. Although this mask is primarily for acne, it is also great for your skin in general so anyone can use it! Down below I have a slide show that will show you how everything looks and I will also be including instructions. It is a simple face mask; there are only a few ingredients and they each contain many vitamins, minerals, proteins, antioxidants, and much more that is extremely beneficial to our skin. Enjoy having beautiful, clear, and smooth skin after using this face mask!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp milk

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Steps:

  1. First pour in your yeast into the milk.
  2. Then place it anywhere in your house where there is sunlight and leave it there for 30 min. You will know that it has been enough time once the yeast/milk combo gets bubbly like the image above (in the slideshow).
  3.  Once the yeast is bubbly, pour the honey and yeast/ milk combo in the yogurt.
  4.  Stir it all together and apply on a clean face.
  5.  Leave the mask on your face for  15 min.
  6.  Wash off and moisturize with any moisturizer.

OOTD-Winter 2016

Hey guys! I hope you are having a great day! For me, this has been the best winter by far. It’s been pretty warm which makes me extremely happy because I cannot stand the cold! Today I have an ootd that I love to wear during the Fall and on the warm Winter days. I love wearing cargo pants during the winter because they are loose fitting so you can layer underneath and be warm even if it just looks like a loose and breezy pair of pants. I paired them with a cropped grey sweater and my leather jacket. The outfit details are below!

Wishlist – 2016

Hey guys, I think this is the first wishlist of the year and that makes me really excited! This wishlist is actually requested by a few of my friends because my birthday is coming up and apparently I’m hard to shop for. With that being said they wanted me to put together a list so that they can get a general idea of what I like (now). My style is kind of all over the place but this year I’m going for more sophisticated and intriguing styles but¬† they need to have a sense of casualty to them. So I know that’s really hard to come by but what I mean is that I’m looking for things with lots of cut- outs and things that are really casual but with a twist!

Favourite winter jackets

So lately it’s been getting really¬†cold outside so I thought it would befitting to write a post about winter jackets. I’m going to make it a two part series, this one will be for jackets that are for the end of fall/ beginning of winter whereas the other post will be about full duty winter jackets for snow and temperatures under 0!
Favourite winter jackets

Burberry trench coat
1,695 CAD¬†–¬†stylebop.com
I love this jacket because I think it’s super chic how it flares at the bottom, has a collar, and belt! By the way the flare and the belt are extremely form-flattering, it will make you seem to¬†have smaller thighs and a smaller waist. Not to mention how this camel color is trending now!

Leather motorcycle jacket
145 CAD¬†–¬†etsy.com
I wasn’t sure if adding a leather jacket was a good idea or not, since everyone already knows what it is and how to style it. But since it is a classic essential I decided to include it.

Levi s blue jacket
91 CAD¬†–¬†etsy.com
Like a leather jacket, denim jackets are classics! I really love layering chunky sweaters with denim jackets. For extra warmth you can find a lined denim jacket, AEO has one that’s super cute and 50% off now!

MANGO wool coat
115 CAD¬†–¬†johnlewis.com
This wool coat is actually a lot warmer than you would think and goes with just about anything! You can dress it up or wear it casually, that’s what I love most about this jacket.

H M cape coat
100 CAD¬†–¬†hm.com
Cape coats are so adorable and remind me of little red riding hood in a way. This cape coat looks great with everything but my favorite way to style it is with over the knee boots and jeans.

Brown coat
44 CAD¬†–¬†zaful.com
This is the most casual of all the coats listed but it’s also one of my favorites because it is really warm and is the ultimate casual coat! I say this because it will look great leggings, jeans, and even sweat pants don’t look so horrible with these!
