November Wishlist

november wishlist

Its been a hot minute since I’ve done a fashion wish list, so here I present… my November Wishlist! My urge to shop has just been getting larger and larger with the holiday season approaching so making this made me really happy 🙂

Purple top
51 CAD – axparis.com

This season, mesh shirts were a huge trend (as you’ll see further on my wishlist). Although, this top stood out to me from any other mesh top I’ve seen all season. It has such beautiful detailing that makes it so elegant and formal despite the fact that it’s see-through! Not to mention that it looks way more expensive than it actually is.

WithChic sexy shirt
26 CAD – withchic.com

Big comfy sweaters are my go tos in the cold months (if you couldn’t tell by my sweater series lol) so I fell in love with this sweater the second I saw it. It is very chic and different because of the style. Yet it is big, fluffy, and makes you feel like you’re wrapped in a blanket-which in my opinion, is the best feeling!

Mesh top
19 CAD – hm.com

And here is another example of the mesh trend. I’ve seen pretty shirts that look almost identical to this one in an array of different colors, but this psychedelic blue just popped out at me.

American Eagle Outfitters coat
70 CAD – ae.com

This item might seem strange to some as it isn’t my typical style, but I’ve actually been wanting a fur coat for a very long time. I think it is great for a night out when its cold out, or even just when you want to feel extremely glamorous or as some may put it, “extra”.

Petar Petrov cropped pants
1,760 CAD – net-a-porter.com

Apart from the price, I love everything about these pants. Just looking at them I can think of dozens of adorable relaxed and more fitted looks with them!

Levi’s high-waisted skinny jeans
125 CAD – shopbop.com

These jeans have what I call “tasteful rips”. Lately, I’ve been finding it hard to find ripped jeans that aren’t overdone and look like a five-year-old just cut them up! So I love these, as they have a few rips to keep the edgy look but aren’t ripped over the top.

Cropped pants
27 CAD – zaful.com

Once again Zafu has another piece of clothing I love! These pants are so perfect if you want to achieve the edgy street style look, not to mention that they would be super comfortable!

Black lace up boots
56 CAD – shein.com

Black over the knee boots has been in my eye for years now! There are so many ways to dress them up and down. With a skirt, sweater dress, or just jeans. They are so versatile and can bring any simple outfit to the next level with minimum effort from you!
Keep an eye out this month for my next post which will be disclosing all the best affordable online stores, great for my readers on a budget!

Until I found one in Urban Planet, and it was onbly around $30. So naturally, I created an everyday outfit with the trench coat being the main piece. Hope you guys like the outfit! Fall Vibes Part 1

Hey guys!

Lately, I have been in the best mood! Which is strange for me to say because I have been more stressed than ever trying to balance, school, a job, and the gym 4-5x a week! I think its because here in Toronto we are having the best Fall I have ever experienced. It is the perfect weather, and I am enjoying spending my days sipping pumpkin spice lattes in large oversized sweaters! Not to mention I’m super happy that I somehow managed to avoid getting sick despite everyone around me being. Anyhow, I took these pictures during the Thanksgiving weekend, hope you like the outfit!

Transitioning Seasons Outfit Fall OOTD

Hey guys,

I’ve talked before about how I love summer fashion, so I try to incorporate some of my favorite summer clothes in my Fall outfits too. It was an oddly beautiful day in Toronto so I decided to  go have a stroll downtown. Side note: I also wore this outfit to puppy lessons right before going downtown (the puppies are soo cute!). I find this outfit very earthy and natural, perfect for a casual day like the one I had.

The sandals I’m wearing are also really comfortable because they have a thick cushion on the sole, so they were fairly comfortable for all day walking (despite some blisters at the end of the day). The outfit details are below and don’t be afraid to comment if you have any other questions or would like to know some of the  makeup products I used 🙂

Cute Thanksgiving Outfit

Hey guys,

Is it just me or do you also feel like Thanksgiving just came out of nowhere! I can’t believe its already October, time flies… Not to complain, I mean pumpkin pie is one of my favorite desserts of all time and pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks are my weak spot! So I wanted to create a seasonal look for a family dinner or whatever it is you may do for Thanksgiving. I’m going to a cottage with my family and some family friends, what about you?

Styling a Denim Skirt Casually

2017 brought back the denim skirt trend and I was more than eager to try it out! I recently purchased two denim skirts from Ardene (only $9 each, what a steal!) I wanted to be able to wear these skirts casually so I’ve created a sporty/casual look with my black denim skirt. Outfit details below!

How to Transition from Summer to Fall

I hate to say it, but summer is coming to an end very quickly. It makes me devastated because it is my favorite season for so many different reasons; it is also my favorite season for fashion! With that being said, I like to transition my summer wardrobe to the Fall slowly, trying to incorporate my favorite summer pieces while making my outfits warmer.

First off, light cardigans are your best friend! Not only do they add an extra layer to keep you warm but they also serve as a cute addition to your outfit! I suggest going for a light fabric or you can wear a cool knitted sweater with cutouts. These types of cardigans are warm enough for the fall weather but are still light enough to wear all day.

Of course, as it gets closer to winter it gets colder so that even the cardigans above aren’t enough. This is when you start layering with thicker cardigans, cute fall jackets, or both! I like wearing my favorite summer tanks under a cute jacket for a complete fall transitioning look 🙂

IMG_8368

black leather jacketAnother tip is to simply switch up your shoes or runners instead of sandals, personally I don’t wear sandals often so this is really easy for me!

For me, the idea of squeezing into jeans after months of shorts and skirts is unbearable so I like to ease myself into my skinny jeans by wearing looser forms of pants first, such as cargo pants and boyfriend jeans. I’ll also be wearing jeans for the following 6 months once it gets colder so I’m not in a particular hurry to bring them back to my wardrobe.

The Guide to Leather backpacks for School

The Guide to Leather Backpacks for School

For many years in the past and surely for many years to come, leather is a material that has been used in the fashion industry time and time again. And it’s no surprise why, leather is a one of a kind material. It is natural and is extremely strong and durable, not to mention stylish! Which makes leather an ideal pick for a backpack that you’ll be using almost everyday!

Like most other students, I’ve been sporting regular nylon backpacks (basically anything I could find in Staples). Nylon is more light weight, which is definitely an advantage but my bags would rarely last me a full year. Either they would rip, get extremely dirty, or simply go out of style! I’ve had a few backpacks that ripped after only a few months and I would have to buy a new one. One year I had a light blue Jansport backpack that went from blue to almost grey because of how dirty I got it from taking it to school everyday. Also, just think about all the different designs and patterns Jansport comes out with each year, these backpacks go out of style very quickly!

Leather on the other hand is an extremely durable material that can last up to 20 years with just a little bit of care, its as simple as occasionally using a damp cloth to wipe down the surface. Also, leather backpacks don’t go out of style, as leather is a fashion staple. Its actually the contrary, the more you wear it, the more it becomes soft and customized with a unique texture and pattern.

One reason why I haven’t thought about owning a leather backpack for school up until now is because I thought that the material is too stiff and heavy and would not be flexible or large enough be able to carry all my school supplies. It turns out that there are actually many leather backpacks that can hold a lot, and even if they seem a bit stiff at first, they will soften as you use them. Here is an interesting blog post specifically about leather backpacks for school.

So you like the idea of owning a leather backpack but not so much the price….

This is one of the main reasons why I haven’t bought a leather backpack earlier but I am changing my way of shopping to buying less quantity but better quality. It’s the same as what happens with all our closets, they are full yet we still claim to have nothing to wear that we like! Well that’s because we haven’t been thinking much about the long term, by investing in a leather backpack you will be happy with the same  beautiful backpack for years to come instead of ending up with 5 damaged backpacks (true story). If I had bought a good quality leather backpack in the beginning of high school, I actually would’ve saved money in the long run because I only bought 1 backpack instead of purchasing a new one each year. Not only is it a great investment, but leather bags are also becoming more affordable.
