Transitioning Seasons Outfit Fall OOTD

Hey guys,

I’ve talked before about how I love summer fashion, so I try to incorporate some of my favorite summer clothes in my Fall outfits too. It was an oddly beautiful day in Toronto so I decided to  go have a stroll downtown. Side note: I also wore this outfit to puppy lessons right before going downtown (the puppies are soo cute!). I find this outfit very earthy and natural, perfect for a casual day like the one I had.

The sandals I’m wearing are also really comfortable because they have a thick cushion on the sole, so they were fairly comfortable for all day walking (despite some blisters at the end of the day). The outfit details are below and don’t be afraid to comment if you have any other questions or would like to know some of the  makeup products I used 🙂

Simple Henna Designs For Summer

Henna is a beautiful symbol of culture and tradition, but it has also become one of the biggest summer trends. You can create beautiful designs on your body that stay on for a few weeks. It’s like a temporary tattoo. Since I’m not very artistic, I have decided to gather some pretty henna designs that anyone can do! I’ll also explain how to easily achieve the design!

Related image

I found this design particularly beautiful! It looks complex but if you break it up into a few small steps it can actually be pretty easy! You start off by just drawing a simple dot and two diamond shapes getting increasingly bigger around it . Then, draw the swirly lines that are connected to the edge of the diamond Voila, you’ve done the hardest part, now simply draw the 5 dots on either side of the diamond and the small lines around it and you’re finished!

Image result for henna designs simple

To be honest, I’m not sure if this is a flower or sun but either way it’s a cute design! It’s pretty straight forward how to draw this, except with one trick. After drawing hte circle, use the tip of the henna applicator to drag out the little triangular things instead of using more henna, it will end up much cleaner and precise.

Image result for henna elephant

I have always found elephant henna tattoos adorable so I was determined to find one I could draw! This is probably the toughest design here, but if you look at it really close and do it one part at a time it is manageable! A tip is to start at the bottom and work your way up.

Image result for henna turtle

I also love tortoises in henna, and this tortoise looks complex but is in fact really easy to draw. Start with the shell and you can draw the square design of the shell very easy. Just draw two horizontal and two vertical lines. Inside the square you can do any design or even leave it blank. The rest of the body is pretty easy!

Favorite Nail Colors for Summer 2017

Hey guys,

Painting my nails is something that I have loved doing since I was a little girl, and as seasons change, I would change my taste in colors. Here are some colors that I’ve been loving to rock during the hot sunny months!

blue

This baby blue is a color that I love for summer, and for one main reason; it reminds me of the beach. The beach is my happy place and blue is known to be a calm and cooling color so whenever I have blue nails I always feel at bit more tranquil.purple nails

Ya, you can probably sense a pattern here… Light girly colors that are almost like pastels are my summer go to’s. That, or going really bold!lilac nails

This color just makes me think of flowers and innocence immediately. It’s like the innocent girl next door color, but add an accent somewhere and it’ll add a cool twist to the look. It is also a really great base if you wanted to try some cool designs.

white nails

Matt white nails are a classic, and it’s no surprise why! It looks great on all nail lengths and has an clean, fresh, fun look to it, all while being elegant at the same time! I absolutely love white nails when I tan, I love the contrast of white against my darker skin.

yellow nails

Remember how I mentioned being bold in one of the above pictures? Well this is an example of what I was talking about, yellow! Same as the white, yellow contrasts beautifully against bronzed skin and is such a vibrant color that just screams sun!

Hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorite nail color picks, comment yours below! Also do not forget that I will be moving my blog some time soon! Lastly, if you are interested in getting in great shape with me for free, click the link below!

Beach Basics!

So summer is just around the corner (for me) although in other countries I know people are already going to beach! This makes me extremely jealous but what can I do, unfortunately I can’t change the weather!  With my little ramble being said,  I’m going to show you guys a few of my beach essentials!

An adorable bathing suit!

This is something pretty obvious but I cannot stress how important it is to find a bathing suit that you feel comfortable in! Even if it is a bit out of your price range, I strongly suggest you spend a bit more if it means you will feel confident in it! Everyone has their own personal body issues ( for me it’s my small chest) but don’t worry because I have you covered. For a small chest click here, big chest here,  for tummy issues here, if you  have no curves here, and for affordable bathing suit sites here!

Sunglasses

I love sunglasses so much that last year I had a white line on my nose from where my sunglasses were because I tanned everywhere except there! Although, this year someone brought to my attention that if you don’t buy good quality sunglasses, the lenses may actually be ruining your vision! So unfortunately, I think that most of those cute sunglasses from stores like Forever 21 or H and M aren’t the best for all day wear.

Cute Coverups

I love coverups even more than bathing suits, this is because with coverups you can highlight your best features and hide your worst! Here are a few of my favorite coverups!

Sunscreen!

Last year I really wanted to tan so I put on almost no sunscreen while I was on vacation in Mexico. I know, I’m an idiot! I never really understood how strong the U.V rays really are until I returned home with a bunch of brown spots on my legs. To this day I m still not certain what they were but I think that they were sun spots. Most have disappeared (there are still a few left) but it has taught me a lesson that I will never forget!

John Frieda Controlled Lightening Spray on Brown Hair Review

About a year ago, I had went to the hairdressers to ombre my hair. The hairdresser refused to use bleach on my hair so I ended up leaving the salon with a color I definitely did not want! Luckily there was a smooth transition so at least I didn’t have to worry about that! But I really hated the color so I was determined to find a cheap way to lighten  the color. I ended up purchasing the John Frieda Controlled Lightening Spray even though the instructions strictly said the it was for natural blondes only and I was naturally a brunette… oh well it worked out. It was $14 at a Shopper’s Drug mart, so it was a tiny bit more expensive than some other hair lightening products, but I heard great things about i so I decided the extra few dollars were worth it, and it still cost way less than getting your hair done again by a professional. Summer Nail Inspos That You Can Do At Home

After a very long winter, summer is finally here! Although here in Toronto it really doesn`t look like it… eiither way it is summer and that means more time for beautiful nail designs! Since I`ve gotten so many positive reviews about my last nail post, I`ve decided to make another one!  I`ve gathered sevral images that I know can be recreated at home easily. Enjoy!

1. Sailor Nails!

This design reminds me so much of summer because it reminds me of sailors which reminds me of boats, which reminds me of oceans, which reminds me of vacation, which reminds me of….Summer. Yup, it`s like a mind map! Anyways its really simple to do but looks great and complicated.

    2. Different Neon Colors

Summer is the time to try new things, so if you want something bold and colorful, neon is the way to go!

3. Pinks and Nudes

Pinks and nude are soft gentle colors  that always make any outfit look more polished, elegant, and put together. I love wearing these nail colors all year round but pairing them with my nude sandals in the summertime is my favorite!   4. Indigo Blue Nail Design

This blue color is so majestic and paired with yellow and white like in this picture makes it the perfect summer manicure! And what makes it even better, it can be done at home! First paint your whole nail in blue (or whatever base color you want), then once its fully dry,put a strip of tape on diagonally from the middle of the side of your finger to the middle of the tips of your nail and paint what inside of the nail white. Then do the same on the other side except paint the inside yellow. I kinow this may sound confusing but you can also think of it as drawing 2 triangles on the tips of your nails. If you would like a whole tutorial with more pictures of this I`d be glad to do it, just leave a comment saying so 🙂
  5. Stripes

This design is so beautiful and can be down in any color want! Its really simple to create, all you need is 3 nail colors that are similar and tape. I think you get the gist of how to do this but if you don`t also feel free to leave acomment if you`d like a tutorial 🙂

These are my favorite nail designs/ colors for summer, I hope you enjoyed it!

Beats Pill Review + Playlist

When I’m studying, or cleaning my room, or just doing anything by myself I like to listen to music to fill the silence. I’ve been using a speaker that I got from my local dollar store and honestly it was fine. It was ok because i didn’t listen to my music too loud and I didn’t really care that much about the sound quality. But let me tell you, I did not know what I was missing! My family friends got it for me  on my birthday (which was a while ago but I just got to writing this review now) and so I started using it.  Here are some pictures of the packaging, what it looks like, and the chargers and wires it comes with.

IMG_4131IMG_4139

IMG_4152IMG_4142

As you can see, the packaging is really nice, so nice that I kept the box! Everything is themed black, red and white but you can also get the beats pill in a variety of colors such as white, red, pink and more! To see the other colors click on the link below. It also comes with a case for your beats pill, which makes it really portable.

Once I started using it, I knew I could never go back! Firstly it was wireless, so I could just turn on my Bluetooth and connect it to the Beats Pill. Whereas before I had to connect my phone with a wire and that made it a lot harder because then I couldn`t take my phone anywhere unless if I disconected it. But the main reason why i love this item so much is because the sound quality is soo good! I never noticed before just how bad my old speaker was. When listening to music using the pill, it sounds crisp and sharp as if you can hear every single sound individually but at the same time as well (if that makes any sense). It is pricey, but if you are looking to invest in a great quality speaker, this is definatly the right choice . Click here for a great price on the Beats Pill Portable Speaker (Black) – NEW.

Now on to my playlist. I usually find around 10 songs that I love and then play then on repeat, over and over agin. I`m aware it`s a really bad thing to do because then you get sick of them, and it`s true after listening to the same 10 songs for around 2 weeks I get sick of them and end up hating them… but then I just find new songs to love 😉 Currently on my repeat playlist I have:

Honey I’m Good by Andy Grammer

Heroes by Alesso

Wrapped up by Olly Murs

You Know You Like It by Dj Snake and Aluna George

Baby Boy by Beyonce

Can’t Stop Dancing by Becky G

Can’t Feel My Face by The Week-end

Cheerleader by OMI

I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys

Spin The World by Eric Zayne

Stitches by Shawn Mendes

I know this post was a bit different than my usual posts about make-up, beauty, and fashion, but I really loved this product and had to share it!

Swimsuit Guide: Hiding that belly bulge!

Summer is nearing so I thought, ” What better posts for the summer than  a swimsuit series?” I’ve decided to make a whole series about which swimsuits are best for which body types, certain body issues, and occasions! This series should hopefully make you feel beautiful in your body no matter what it looks like! Because even though your body is yours, and you should never let anyone judge it, we usually judge ourselves the most. So if your worried that your belly is too big, or that you look too flat, or that your breasts will fall out of your bathing suit, this is the series for you! Over the next few weeks I will be posting several posts about these topics. I hope you enjoy and start loving your body for the way it is by the end of this series!

Find a bathing suit bottom that is mid-rise. The fact that it goes just a little bit higher than most bikini bottoms will help keep in most of your belly bulge and people won’t even notice because it looks like a normal bikini!

A bathing suit like the one above is perfect if your worried about that extra fat in your tummy! The placement of the colors alone is enough to hide away your stomach, but the added ruffle layer around your waist will hide everything (and I mean everything) and make your waist appear slimmer! Ir’s also super cute, talk about using bathing suits to our advantages!

This bathing suit was designed to make you look slim. The notched top, contrasting panels, and tummy ruching are all cleverly placed to hide what you want hidden and to display what you want shown.

Tankinis were also made to hide our bellies! Looser ones (bottom) are great if you have a bit of a bigger belly bulge because the loose fabric will smoothly slide over your belly and conceal and smooth at the same time! If you like tighter bathing suits but are still worried about your belly, ruched tankinis (top) are your best friend! The texture of the bathing suit will hide away that belly fat!

Lots of embroidery and corset-like details will shrink your tummy (visually obviously) and will distract the eye from your belly. Instead of someone paying attention to your bulge, they will instead be paying attention to all the details and colors of your bathing suit.

Take a trip back to the 90s, high rise bikini bottoms (top)are great for hiding your belly because, well they’re high rise so they will be tucking your stomach in and covering it. Normal high waisted bikinis (bottom) offer a bit more coverage but what makes high rise bikini bottoms special is that they also make your legs look incredibly long, and who doesn’t want incredibly long legs?

Lastly, strategically placed cuts are great for hiding your belly while still showing off some skin. Make sure that the middle of your stomach is being covered (that is where most of the fat likes to lure around) and that the sides are cut. That will hide your belly, give you a curvy appearance, and slim you down all in one!

Next time you go swimsuit shopping try and keep these tips in mind, and you’ll be beach-ready in no time! Check out my previous posts on more bathing suit tips!

2015 Swimsuit Guide: Swimsuits best for women with large busts

Even though women with small chests are often envious of big chested women, they don’t know that they also have a difficult time finding the right bathing suits. So today’s post is for women with big chests. Big chests may look good in bikinis but there are several problems that also come with it such as: Chest size is bigger than bottom size, not enough support, nipples literally falling out of the bathing suit. So lets get started with fixing some of these problems.

L.L. Bean one-piece swimsuit

Subtle pattern and shirred waist: A subtle pattern like the one in the photo will keep eyes away from the chest and make you seem super slim because of the shirred waist.

Bra like tops: Full under-wire cups can fit up to a size H and give you the support needed! They are pretty much water-proof bras… Some of them are so pretty and hide the wire completly!

V-necklines: A deep neckline is only something you lucky ladies with large busts can achieve. It looks great and can also have have great support by having under-wire or being a one piece.

https://i0.wp.com/www.brastop.com/content/images/thumbs/0014728_freya-calamity-halter-bikini-top-twilight.jpeg

Triangle cups: If you felt like your bust is too big to wear triangle cups, there is a simple solution! Find a bathing suit with triangle cups, thick straps, an under-wire and you are ready to go!

Sports bra like bikinis: Want to pl,ay volleyball but you are worried about the jiggle? Well a sporty bathing suit is great for that. Particularly look for one that has straps on your back as well. This will give you extra support and keep your bust from jiggling!

I hope some of these tips help you and remember, everything is a blessing and a curse! For you ladies that are flat chested, check out my previous post that was made for you guys here!

2015 Swimsuit Guide: Swimsuits that are best for flat chested women (IBTC)

Summer is nearing so I thought, ” What better posts for the summer than  a swimsuit series?” I’ve decided to make a whole series about which swimsuits are best for which body types, certain body issues, and occasions! This series should hopefully make you feel beautiful in your body no matter what it looks like! Over the next few weeks I will be posting several posts about these topics. I hope you enjoy and start loving your body for the way it is by the end of this series!

Today I am talking directly to the Itty Bitty Titty Community, which I am a part of. In case, you haven’t heard of this term before, us flat-chested women decided to make a community for ourselves to help us feel better about our flat chestedness. So if you are flat chested as well and are nervous for the summer because of how certain swimsuits love to showcase how it seems that we are missing something ;), this is the post for you! I have rounded all the tips that we can use to help us seem less flat-chested! Shirring, ruffles and embellishments: Shirring, ruffles and embellishments across the bust are great for adding some fulness to your chest so that it doesn’t seem as flat. The different texture also drive the eye to the texture and not really your chest. Bring eye to bottom: Wear bottoms that are bright, patterned, slitted, distracting! The point of this tip is to distract the eye away from the chest and to the bottoms instead. Bandeau style: Bandeau style brings more attention to your collarbone and neckline, also did you notice how triangle bikinis make you seem even more flat chested than usual? Well that is because triangular tops leave the central part of your chest uncovered. So, if you want to hide your flatness, find a bandeau because it will cover that area. You should go for a padded bandeau top that  is ruched at the center and has halter ties. Eres maillot Elongate legs: Once again to you want to distract the eye from looking at your chest, so by making your legs seem super long by wearing a bathing suit that’s cut up high, you make straight lines and for some reason our eyes are attracted to straight lines. Making your legs seem super long will surely keep people from noticing how flat you are up there.

Padding: You can always buy a push-up bikini top, although I don’t recommend it because that makes your bikini really thick. If its thick, it’s harder to swim with and will take a very (and I mean very) long time to dry. But it will giver you some cleavage so if you really want too… https://i0.wp.com/blog.brazilianbikinishop.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/6a00d83451595d69e200e54f10ee2b8833-800wi.jpg Halter ties: Halter tops pull up your boobs, giving you a cleavage effect . But don’t buy a halter top that  where it is on a string, buy one with a band at the bottom. You’ll be amazed by the wonder this can do! if it has pushup as well it will make them seem at least a size larger. Blue Criss Cross Two Piece Bikini High neckline: With a high neckline, you leave things to a person’s imagination! So if they don’t see how much is there (or isn’t ;)) they won’t really know how much there is  and people’s imaginations are usually bigger than reality so this is in our favor! Contour:  For those of us that cheat occasionally, you can always use some makeup to help. Just dust some bronzer where the cleavage should be. This will make it seem like there is a shadow casted from your boobs! It sounds weird, i know, but trust me it works. Just don’t wear white with this method! Image result for asymmetrical bathing suit top

Asymmetrical: Asymmetrical bathing suits bring attention to your shoulders instead of chest, they are hard to find but they really add some interest and draw up and away from your chest directly. Image result for horizontal stripes bathing suit top Horizontal stripes up top: Everyone knows the rule to not wear horizontal stripes because it makes us seem wider. Well to every rule, there is an exception and this is it. Wear horizontal stripes to make your boobs look fatter. Self-conscious about your hips being too wide already? Then just have stripes up top and keep your bottom one color.

Rock it like a model: If you get sick of always feeling like  a five-year old or don’t have time to use these tips, remember that you are perfect the way you are and that you should never change yourself for other people! I know this is hard and that’s why I made this list, but honestly just be grateful for what god gave you and look on the bright side! In my opinion small boobs are great! They have so many pros to them except that to some guys that aren’t very visually appealing, but if someone loves you, they won’t care what your boob size is! Also most models are flat chested and models define beauty so… do the math! Walk down the beach, looking forward, posture up right, and strut your stuff like a model on a runway! If you have a full bust, don’t worry I got you covered with a post coming up on Monday! Thanks for reading!
