Affordable skincare routine for all face types

Hi friends!

I’ve struggled with acne and dry skin for years! Some may think that dry skin is more fortunate than oily but with dry skin, it is actually much more complicated to get rid of acne. This is because most acne products work by drying out the skin and pores to get rid of the stuff inside it but when you do that to dry skin you only make your face flake and it gets a gross dry texture!

So I think I’ve found a series of skincare products that will work for most skincare types, from oily to dry. It is the Clean & Clear 3 Step Advantage Acne Control Kit.

I’d just like to state now that this is by no means sponsored, one of my friends that had really bad acne cleared her face up with this product and she it to me. It worked for me too so I just wanted to share this product so that it’ll hopefully help some of you guys too!

I like the three-step method because the cleanser is really great for cleaning the skin but it isn’t tough on the skin. It is extremely smooth on the skin and not too drying. Then you follow it up with the spot treatment. Now, this is very drying which is why you follow it up with the moisturizer. The moisturizer is hands down my favorite product of the three. It is so light that it feels like you haven’t applied anything. It also doesn’t have any distinguishable scent so it is perfect for sensitive skin. It drys relatively quickly so that you can apply makeup afterward if you wish and leaves face feeling fresh and moisturized!

Let me know if this product works for you too! Or if you’ve used it in the past and what are your thoughts on it?

How to Transition from Summer to Fall

How to Transition from Summer to Fall

I hate to say it, but summer is coming to an end very quickly. It makes me devastated because it is my favorite season for so many different reasons; it is also my favorite season for fashion! With that being said, I like to transition my summer wardrobe to the Fall slowly, trying to incorporate my favorite summer pieces while making my outfits warmer.

First off, light cardigans are your best friend! Not only do they add an extra layer to keep you warm but they also serve as a cute addition to your outfit! I suggest going for a light fabric or you can wear a cool knitted sweater with cutouts. These types of cardigans are warm enough for the fall weather but are still light enough to wear all day.

Of course, as it gets closer to winter it gets colder so that even the cardigans above aren’t enough. This is when you start layering with thicker cardigans, cute fall jackets, or both! I like wearing my favorite summer tanks under a cute jacket for a complete fall transitioning look 🙂

black leather jacketAnother tip is to simply switch up your shoes or runners instead of sandals, personally I don’t wear sandals often so this is really easy for me!

For me, the idea of squeezing into jeans after months of shorts and skirts is unbearable so I like to ease myself into my skinny jeans by wearing looser forms of pants first, such as cargo pants and boyfriend jeans. I’ll also be wearing jeans for the following 6 months once it gets colder so I’m not in a particular hurry to bring them back to my wardrobe.

Simple Henna Designs For Summer

Henna is a beautiful symbol of culture and tradition, but it has also become one of the biggest summer trends. You can create beautiful designs on your body that stay on for a few weeks. It’s like a temporary tattoo. Since I’m not very artistic, I have decided to gather some pretty henna designs that anyone can do! I’ll also explain how to easily achieve the design!

Related image

I found this design particularly beautiful! It looks complex but if you break it up into a few small steps it can actually be pretty easy! You start off by just drawing a simple dot and two diamond shapes getting increasingly bigger around it . Then, draw the swirly lines that are connected to the edge of the diamond Voila, you’ve done the hardest part, now simply draw the 5 dots on either side of the diamond and the small lines around it and you’re finished!

To be honest, I’m not sure if this is a flower or sun but either way it’s a cute design! It’s pretty straight forward how to draw this, except with one trick. After drawing hte circle, use the tip of the henna applicator to drag out the little triangular things instead of using more henna, it will end up much cleaner and precise.

I have always found elephant henna tattoos adorable so I was determined to find one I could draw! This is probably the toughest design here, but if you look at it really close and do it one part at a time it is manageable! A tip is to start at the bottom and work your way up.

I also love tortoises in henna, and this tortoise looks complex but is in fact really easy to draw. Start with the shell and you can draw the square design of the shell very easy. Just draw two horizontal and two vertical lines. Inside the square you can do any design or even leave it blank. The rest of the body is pretty easy!

I’ve been doing a lot of research about this product because I am looking for a high quality mask to clear up my skin. Basically glamglow has taken everyone by their feet! So I wanted to see if this product was really as great as everyone says or if its another trend not worth splurging on.

The packaging is really beautiful and the box it is in is so sparkly and reflects light so beautifully! Here are some pictures of the packaging:

How to style comfy sweaters! Part 1

I don’t know about you, but I certainly have many many days where I wake up in the morning and all I feel is cold. It makes me not want to get out of bed or do anything! Then the thought of putting on a tight or revealing (basically uncomfortable) top to look fashionable makes me feel sick. All i want to do is not wear a bra, be warm and comfortable but still look presentable. On these days my huge comfy and fuzzy sweaters come in handy! I’ve had an obsession with sweaters lately and now they won’t fit in my closet anymore, whoops! Anyways here are a few different ways to style comfy sweaters without looking like you completely gave up on life ( even though you may feel that way inside) ;).

This post is going to made up of several different ootd looks put together but I will also give tips on ideas how to make theses outfits not so boring. You’ll see that they are all very simple, warm, and most importantly comfortable! If you want to see pictures of all my comfy sweaters, keep a look out for my Sweater Collection post coming up very soon!

aeo-sweater

Sweater: AEO | Leggings: Hyba | Shoes: Ugg

This is one of the simplest outfits but I love it so much! I love pairing leggings with sweaters because they are tight and form fitting which is completely opposite from sweaters. The ugg boots especially tied the whole look together because they are stylish but not very visible at the same time and they do not drag the eye to them, instead the sweater is the statement piece with nothing distracting the eye from it.

cozy-sweater

Sweater: H&M | Jeans: Urban Behavior | Shoes: Timberland

Here I went for a monochrome look. I paired my biggest black and white sweater with ripped jeans to add some more interest to the outfit. I really feel like the rips at the knee and some edge to the otherwise simple outfit. I finished the look off with matching white and grey socks peaking above my Timberlands. I chose the Timberlands instead one of my black pairs of shoes because I wanted to break up the monochrome a little bit and I find that they also add to the edginess of the outfit.

sorels

Sweater: Shrinking Violet | Leggings: Hyba | Shoes: Sorels

This outfit is one that I wear when I truly cannot get out of bed. I like this sweater because it is plain and can be paired with anything but it isn’t just a plain canvas, instead it has these cut-out patterns which automatically give the sweater some interest. I paired it with leggings again and wore my Sorels because they match the color scheme of the outfit perfectly, I especially love how the white fur ties in with the white sweater! Also, I’m not sure if you can tell in the picture but the leggings are more of a heather grey so there are specks of white that once again match the sweater.

styling-a-sweater

Sweater: Shrinking Violet| Jeans: Costa Blanca | Socks: Roots | Scarf: Forever 21 | Shoes: Sorels

Once again, I am wearing the white sweater as above but this time I paired it with jeans. I also accessorized with a burgundy scarf and roots socks peaking from the sorels to add some color to the outfit. I also love wearing my Talula burgundy mits for an even cozier and cute look!

As you guys can see, I love making simple outfits with little touches that add some extra interest or a pop of color to them! Tag me in your pictures if you want me to see some of your cozy sweater outfits!

I didn’t plan on making this a two-part series but it would be too long for only one post so look out for part two with more looks coming up next week!

Last Minutes New Years Outfits Ideas and Inspo

Are you guys excited for New Years?! I know I am, even though I still don’t have any plans haha. But for those of you planning to go to a New Years party and need a last min outfit, here are some ideas!

Right from your closet:

This outfit isn’t as glamorous and sparkly as some may want when going out for New Years but I personally love this outfit! It is an especially great outfit if you are planning to go to a family or close friends party (not clubbing or a crazy rave party).

img_2522img_2563img_2602

As you can see this is a great last minute party outfit. It is a black bodycon sweater dress which contours the body amazingly because it is a thick material so it doesn’t make you look too tight or show anything you don’t want to be seen but at the same time it highlights your curves. Also the high neck gives you an appearance of really big boobs even if you are flat chested! Just add on some jewelry ( I went with a gold layered necklace and gold statement watch) and pair it with any shoes. I chose chunky black booties to add some edge but virtually any pair of shoes will go well with this outfit. I didn’t have a fur coat, but if you do this would the perfect outfit to pair it with, so for extra spumf add some fur!

Suede:

New Years
This outfit is also relatively simple. The statement piece is the suede dress with a cute gold choker. I added on a bunch of other matching jewelry and a leather jacket and cut out shoes. Lastly, I added a YSL clutch with gold detailing to tie in the black and gold. Here I had a black, gold, and burgundy color scheme but if you have a different suede dress just start from there and accessorize as you wish!

Sparkles:

Of course I needed one outfit with sparkles! As you can see I start each outfit with a statement piece and then I build from there. Since a sparkly skirt is really out there I tried toning the outfit down with other neutral color and little jewelry but prominent makeup.
Here are few more polyvore sets I made in the past:
Hope you liked this and I hope you have a Great New Year!

Hair Obsession: Jenna Dewan Tatum

Hey guys!

Today I have a bit different post than usual since I’m at a cottage so I dont have lots of time to write but nevertheless I had to share this because I have never been so in love with someones hair before!  The pictures below are of Jenna Dewan Tatum, yes, Channing Tatums wife… she is one lucky women 😉 Anyways, I first saw Jenna in a show called Witches of East End and I always loved her hair in the show. It looked so carefree and natural yet always so perfect! I love her loose waves so I deicided to search up how to do them, and to my surprise there were several sites that had pictures of Jenna’s hair and detailed instructions on how to re-create it! So if you like any of the following pictuires, which I’m sure you will (not only does she sport loose waves but also beautiful updos and short hair!), I strongly reccomend you search her up! She is my hair idol!
