Fall Runway Trends That You Can Dostyle

One of my most successful posts to this day is my Five Runway Trends To Incorporate Into Your Outfits post, which is why I decided to make another similar post to that one. Today’s post will be all about the fall trends seen on the runway that aren’t too extravagant yet are very chic so that you can start incorporating them into your outfits and start feeling more like a model everyday!

Gloves all day everydaytrend gloves

Elegant long gloves have always had a certain classy attribute to them, in movies the rich women always wore them, or at balls (think of Disney princesses). I personally am so happy that they are a trend because my hands are always freezing cold, so I’m gonna have lots of fun with this trend!

All greytrends all grey

Grey is the color of the season for business apparel and suits, this is probably great for most people because who doesn’t own grey clothes. And now instead of thinking you look bland in all grey you actually are quite trendy. Although personally I still think its a bit bland, so I suggest pairing it with some other fall color such as burgundy, burgundy and grey are one of my favorite fall combinations.

Way up hightrend high waisted

High waists have become very trendy this past year; high waisted jeans, skirts, and even swimsuits, just about every bottom has a high waisted option. Well now designers have decided to go even higher up – above your belly button! I don’t know how comfortable this will be but it sure will suck everything in!

Where are your hands!?trend long sleeves

Another trend that has been all over runways is sleeves that go way past your hands. I love this trend because when I’m cold I tend to pull my sleeves all the way over my hands and then hold them down with my thumb, I actually made some holes in my jackets by doing this-whoops! Now my sleeves will always be extra long so I wont have to make anymore holes in my jackets 🙂

Red Plaidtrends 2015

Yes plaid (especially red)  is still in style, the simplicity of it makes it so hard for us to let go! Lumberjack style continues- YES!

So many sparkles

trends1

No more simple jewelry, now we are talking sparkly, chunky, and girly! Dig out some of your old jewelry that you thought would never be back in style, because now it is!

I am in love with all these trends because they are not only really chic but are also comfortable and warm! I love that designers actually thought about the fact that it is Fall and is getting colder! What do you think about these trends, don’t be afraid to comment!

I also want to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all those that celebrate it this week-end!

Favorite Long Hairstyles

It is true that there are many more options for hairstyles when you have short hair, you can be really creative by layering, getting pixie cuts, and bobs. But long hair also never goes out of style! Here are a few of my favorite hairstyles that’ll spice up your long hair even more!

I love this type of ombre because it somehow looks natural, yet and dark brown and blonde are completely opposite colors!

For some reason, slicked hair always brings a touch of elegance, and looks so chic!

Fringe bangs are always super cute, but fringe bangs with curly long hair = YUM

This is my most favorite long hairstyle, once again there is an ombre going on and the curls just make it all come together so well!

I love loose curls because they look really put together but laid back at the same time, so double points!

Thanks for reading this super quick post, hope it was a nice quick read!

How to Turn a Day Outfit into an Evening Outfit/ OOTD

Have you ever had a day where you had plans to hang out with people all day- from day to night? For example, first you went shopping and then had plans to go for drinks at night with the same person, and didn’t have enough time to change from your shopping outfit to an evening outfit? Well a few days ago I had a similar experience so I had to think of a way to go from a casual day outfit to a night outfit without going home to change or bring a whole other outfit along with me. I came up with a simple recipe that I will always follow if I come into a situation like this.

The Day Outfit:

572

561

583

585

For the day outfit I chose a pretty blouse that could be dressed up or down, and wore my favorite pair of wedges that can also be dressed up or down depending the situation. Since the blouse and shoes were more formal than what I would normally wear, I dressed the outfit down by pairing them with simple white denim shorts. I kept the jewelry pretty simple with a watch and a big gold necklace, although if you want an even more casual look, I suggest you take off the necklace.

Recipe: Pretty blouse+ denim shorts + wedges + simple jewelry =A day outfit that can be transformed in a night outfit in one step!

The Night Outfit:

497

507

532

541

Outfit Details:

Blouse: Dresslink ||Skirt: H&M ||Necklace: Ardene ||Shoes:Steve Madden ||Watch: Dresslink ||Bracelets: Aldo

As you can see, all I did was put on a skin tight black skirt. This skirt was easily foldable so I just stuffed it into my purse and put it on when the time came! The skirt made the outfit look far more formal and “nightly” then the shorts did, especially since it was skin tight.

Recipe: Pretty blouse + skin tight skirt + black heels + lots of bold jewelry =  Night Outfit!

Worst Fashion Trends from the 21st Century

Hey guys! Today I have a fun little post about fashion trends that I disliked most in the 20th century! I want to start off with a disclaimer, I do not mean to offend anyone! So if you still like or sport one of these trends please do not be offended, these are simply my own opinions. As I’ve said before, everyone has their own sense of style, one person may hate what one is wearing while someone else might love it. So please just keep that in mind, these are the worst trends in MY opinion. Ok, with that said, lets get started!

1.Sheer Tops

worst fashion trends sheer top

I never really understood sheer tops, I mean what is the point of showing your whole bra? Or showing your skin except tinted? I know many places found this very inappropriate and viewed it the same as wearing nothing at all! If you think about it, you really are exposing everything except there is thin piece off cloth over you! Is the point of it to go topless but to be warm while doing it? I guess i’ll never know.

2. Sneakerwedges

worst fashion trends sneakerwedges

This is another thing that gets me mind-boggled, why put wedges into sneakers!? Sneakers are supposed to be casual, comfy, and most importantly COMFORTABLE! You are supposed to be able to run in them if need be, these wedges ruined the whole purpose of sneakers. If you really want wedges, then wear real wedges, they are so much nicer! And also, even though the wedge is “hidden”, everyone knows it’s there, it is so obvious!

3. Bell Bottoms

worst trends bell bottoms

Now, I’m aware many will not agree with this one but honestly, I hate bell bottoms. Don’t get me wrong boot cut is okay, and other jeans that are a bit wider than your ankles are great as they make your legs look slimmer. But honestly, when the circumference of the bottom of your jeans is big enough to fit both legs through, there is a problem! Yes, these will make you seem as though you have slimmer legs, but it will also swallow you up!

4. Crocs

worst trends crocs

Well there’s not much to say about crocs… everyone now is wondering how they even became a trend in the first place. I mean they are great for gardening and we also bring them to hotels as slippers, so I guess that’s a plus?

5.Shutter Shades
worst trends shutter shades

Do you remember seeing these everywhere? I remember seeing these at every single vendor on the street! I even saw people wearing them and I know I really wanted them because they just seemed so cool. Well now looking back, I’m wondering what was wrong with me! I mean they are great for children to play with and call their glasses without being worried the the glass will shatter or something else but not for anything else. I wish I could go back in time and ask the people I saw wearing these glasses why they have them? I mean what is their use? They don’t protect from the sun and they definitely don’t look good, so why?

Comment if you can remember another trend that now looking back you hate!

First Day of School Outfit

Unfortunately summer has come to an end, which means school is starting again ( or for some already has started). I wanted to make a quick post to share my outfit for the first day of school which is really easy to replicate and can probably be found in your closet! I like this outfit because u find cute, comfy, and casual which is what I look for when picking out an outfit for school so if you did start school already the outfit is casual enough to be worn on any day. Enjoy! P.s. Sorry for the bad picture quality, the picture was taken by my phone.

Casual Evening Outfit + Dresslink review

Today I wanted to share an outfit that I thought would be really cute for a casual night with friends. Its really easy to recreate this outfit because all you need is an elegant black shirt, black heels, and printed bottoms. The printed bottoms add some color and break up the blackness from the shoes and shirt- it adds a touch of playfulness! The exact details for the outfit will be listed below along with a review of a website called Dresslink, from which I made a wishlist post a few weeks ago.

ootd

790(2) 752(2) 699  645(2)Shirt: Dresslink /Bottoms: Angie
/Shoes: Steve Madden Watch: Dresslink /Bracelets: Aldo
/Purse: Winners, similar here

Dresslink is a webiste that sells just about everything! Clothes, accessories, home, you name it, they have it, and all at such great prices. Click here for more info about the website. If you read the wishlist, you may remember that I was a bit skeptic about the quality of the clothes because the prices were so low. Well I was nicely surprised when I got the items and they were all fairly nice material. I mean, they obviously weren’t silk or anything, but the materials were soft and weren’t itchy at all. Another of my concern was the sizing, the sizes were asian sizes so you had to be really careful when ordering. Luckily all the items I bought fit me perfectly, so if you measure correctly, the sizing is quite accurate. Also, the items arrived in only 2 and a half weeks even though I was expecting it to take 3 or more, so that was a bonus as well! In the pictures above, the watch and shirt were both from dresslink and both were under $6! Look out for one my next posts witch will feature two more items from dresslink!

Overall I give this website 4/5 stars. The quality is much better than the price, all the items looked the same as in their pictures so there weren’t any surprises there, and all the items fit well. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was simply because shipping takes quite long, it did arrive sooner than expected but still it took some time. I strongly recommend this website if you’re on a budget but are a shopaholic (like myself), because this website has some seriously cute stuff for a great price!

Swimsuit Guide: Hiding that belly bulge!

Summer is nearing so I thought, ” What better posts for the summer than  a swimsuit series?” I’ve decided to make a whole series about which swimsuits are best for which body types, certain body issues, and occasions! This series should hopefully make you feel beautiful in your body no matter what it looks like! Because even though your body is yours, and you should never let anyone judge it, we usually judge ourselves the most. So if your worried that your belly is too big, or that you look too flat, or that your breasts will fall out of your bathing suit, this is the series for you! Over the next few weeks I will be posting several posts about these topics. I hope you enjoy and start loving your body for the way it is by the end of this series!

Find a bathing suit bottom that is mid-rise. The fact that it goes just a little bit higher than most bikini bottoms will help keep in most of your belly bulge and people won’t even notice because it looks like a normal bikini!

A bathing suit like the one above is perfect if your worried about that extra fat in your tummy! The placement of the colors alone is enough to hide away your stomach, but the added ruffle layer around your waist will hide everything (and I mean everything) and make your waist appear slimmer! Ir’s also super cute, talk about using bathing suits to our advantages!

This bathing suit was designed to make you look slim. The notched top, contrasting panels, and tummy ruching are all cleverly placed to hide what you want hidden and to display what you want shown.

Tankinis were also made to hide our bellies! Looser ones (bottom) are great if you have a bit of a bigger belly bulge because the loose fabric will smoothly slide over your belly and conceal and smooth at the same time! If you like tighter bathing suits but are still worried about your belly, ruched tankinis (top) are your best friend! The texture of the bathing suit will hide away that belly fat!

Lots of embroidery and corset-like details will shrink your tummy (visually obviously) and will distract the eye from your belly. Instead of someone paying attention to your bulge, they will instead be paying attention to all the details and colors of your bathing suit.

Take a trip back to the 90s, high rise bikini bottoms (top)are great for hiding your belly because, well they’re high rise so they will be tucking your stomach in and covering it. Normal high waisted bikinis (bottom) offer a bit more coverage but what makes high rise bikini bottoms special is that they also make your legs look incredibly long, and who doesn’t want incredibly long legs?

Lastly, strategically placed cuts are great for hiding your belly while still showing off some skin. Make sure that the middle of your stomach is being covered (that is where most of the fat likes to lure around) and that the sides are cut. That will hide your belly, give you a curvy appearance, and slim you down all in one!

Next time you go swimsuit shopping try and keep these tips in mind, and you’ll be beach-ready in no time! Check out my previous posts on more bathing suit tips!

May Wishlist 2015

May Wishlist 2015

Topshop red top
83 CAD – topshop.com

I think that crochet cop tops are the cutest! They add such a romantic and rustic feeling to any outfit and not to mention, they’re super flattering! I love this red one because the color would match my skin tone beautifully and the detailing is so amazing! This one is a bit pricey for my budget, but if I find one that costs less, I’m purchasing it for sure!

Boohoo aztec pattern shirt
12 CAD – boohoo.com

Aztec patterns are fresh and great for summer. Especially this one with such bright colors.

STELLA McCARTNEY wide-leg pants
1,195 CAD – stellamccartney.com

I must say that these pants are the WAY to go! If you want to look like a giraffe (have long legs ;)), you need these! And everyone wants to look like they have super long legs so I thing these are a essential! Also the fact that it’s white makes it a great summery pick and can be made into so many different outfit combinations.

Forever New paperbag shorts
39 CAD – forevernew.com.au

I love all these safari-looking items that are now trending (read about it here). But I think that these are great because they are high waisted and and have a drawstring, or in other words, super form flattering!

H&M black hot shorts
57 CAD – hm.com

I am sooooo glad that all this flowy items are in now. Who says that fashion and comfort don’t mix? These flowy shorts are really cute and they feel like pj’s. Everyone enjoys the breezy loose feeling of these shorts during the warm days of summer.

Frye strappy sandals
425 CAD – zappos.com

I love brown sandals and I been the market for the perfect pair for so long! I think these are perfect in every aspect..except the price! The heel isn’t too big, it’s not too strappy, and the right shade of brown. I guess there is a reason this is called a wishlist and not a haul. :/

Forever 21 sandals
34 CAD – forever21.com

Honestly, I’m still not sure how I feel about gladiator sandals. Sometimes I love them, and sometimes I hate them! But I fell in love with this pair when I saw them and now they are a definite want!
I hope you enjoyed this wishlist, and liked my items of choice! Thanks for reading!
To all my followers and readers, I just wanted to let you know that I will be gone this week-end and will not be posting on Monday (sorry!) but another post will be up next Friday! Hint.Hint. Another part of the swimsuit guide.YAY.

2015 Swimsuit Guide: Swimsuits best for women with large busts

Even though women with small chests are often envious of big chested women, they don’t know that they also have a difficult time finding the right bathing suits. So today’s post is for women with big chests. Big chests may look good in bikinis but there are several problems that also come with it such as: Chest size is bigger than bottom size, not enough support, nipples literally falling out of the bathing suit. So lets get started with fixing some of these problems.

L.L. Bean one-piece swimsuit

Subtle pattern and shirred waist: A subtle pattern like the one in the photo will keep eyes away from the chest and make you seem super slim because of the shirred waist.

Bra like tops: Full under-wire cups can fit up to a size H and give you the support needed! They are pretty much water-proof bras… Some of them are so pretty and hide the wire completly!

V-necklines: A deep neckline is only something you lucky ladies with large busts can achieve. It looks great and can also have have great support by having under-wire or being a one piece.

https://i0.wp.com/www.brastop.com/content/images/thumbs/0014728_freya-calamity-halter-bikini-top-twilight.jpeg

Triangle cups: If you felt like your bust is too big to wear triangle cups, there is a simple solution! Find a bathing suit with triangle cups, thick straps, an under-wire and you are ready to go!

Sports bra like bikinis: Want to pl,ay volleyball but you are worried about the jiggle? Well a sporty bathing suit is great for that. Particularly look for one that has straps on your back as well. This will give you extra support and keep your bust from jiggling!

I hope some of these tips help you and remember, everything is a blessing and a curse! For you ladies that are flat chested, check out my previous post that was made for you guys here!

Liebster Award (I nominate you!)

Today I have another award video, it is the Liebster Award!!! Although I do have more than 1000 followers (There is a giveaway) which is against the Liebster rules, I still got nominated by two amazing bloggers; Rosalyn and Penny. Thanks so much to both of you for the nomination, keep doing the great job!

Rules:

  • Each nominee must have under 1000 followers
  • Thank and link the nominating blog
  • Answer their 10 questions and propose 10 new ones for your nominees
  • Nominate 10 blogs and tell them they have been nominated (spread the love)
  • Write a post including all of the above and include the rules in the post

The Questions:

(Since I got nominated by two blogs, I will answer five from each)

What is your favorite season of the year?

I honestly find this question very hard to answer. I usually say winter because that is the season I’m born in and I love snow but lately, I’ve started hating it because it’s so cold! I love summer because of every aspect except for one little thing, bees! I am terrified of bees, I cannot stand them, they usually ruin a perfectly good and sunny day for me. So I guess the answer to this question would be summer (without bees)

What is your favorite drugstore beauty product?

Lately, I’ve been loving meybelline color tattoo eye shadows. They are so pigmented and come in a variety of beautiful colors!

Do you have pets?

At the moment I only have a gecko named Lizzie, but I used to have many more before. If you are interested, I talk more about these pets in my other award posts.

What is your favorite subject in school?

This may come as a surprise to some, but I love Science! I find most science subjects very interesting, I like understanding how things work and what they are made of. Although I hate physics, it bores me to death! I like biology a lot and have thought about going to med school a lot but decided not to because of the really long work hours.

What made you start blogging?

Honestly, I didn’t give it as much thought as some other bloggers. One of my friends was showing me her blog on tumblr and I thought it was cool, so I decided to give it a try as well! I ended up loving the blogisphere and positive community and people so I kept posting.

Where is one place that you would definitely love to travel to in the world?

I’ve been to many places around the world but strangely enough I’ve never been to Paris. Since I’ve been learning french for over 4 years now, I would love to go to advance my speaking skills and see the charm of Paris for myself.

 What is your biggest fear?

Other than getting kidnapped and tortured… I think one of my great fears is the fear to not succeed. I lost many opportunities because I wasn’t sure of myself. Which is why now I try to push myself to try new things and seize any opportunity.

Do you have any secret talents?

Honestly, no. I’m sad to admit but I don’t have any secret talents unless being double jointed and being able to do weird things with my arms counts…

Describe your blog in three words.

Creative, Helpful, and New.

Name two goals that you have for this year.
One thing that I have been telling myself to do the past few years and hopefully will finally do this year, is to get fit and start running! I’m sure I’m not the only one that has this goal 😉 My second goal is to really up my photography game. I’m going to take some classes to hopefully learn how to take better pictures for the blog.

My Questions:

What made you start blogging?

What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?

How long have you been blogging for?

If you were stuck on an Island, what is the one thing you would take with you?

Do you have any pets?

What is one thing that most people are surprised to learn about you?

If you had one wish, what would it be?

Do you own more high-end or drugstore make-up?

What is your favorite nail polish brand?

What is your biggest achievement (at the moment)?

My Nominations:

I started searching and writing down blogs in this section but I realized that there were too many blogs I thought deserved this award. If you have a blog and have taken the time to write even one post, you deserve this award so I nominate YOU!

Thanks for reading, I look forward to reading your answers to my questions. If you do this post, please comment the link on this post so that I can check it out!
